The Role

The Role
This Development Chef opportunity is a varied and interesting role with both commercial and operational responsibility, no two days will be the same! Tasks include (but are not limited to):
• Work alongside the Key Account sales team and offer culinary support and equipment demonstrations during sales visits.
• Host clients at the Head Office in Surrey as well as working with them at their sites nationwide.
• Working on menu development, creating concepts, and delivering end user training to chains and national group Foodservice operators.
• Supporting distributor sales teams by delivering practical equipment training
• Development of training materials and reference aids and delivery of operational training to new and existing customers.
• Present live cook demonstrations at trade shows and events.
• The Development Chef will be expected to have an interest in the Foodservice sector, keeping abreast of all current food trends and sharing insights with the sales team.
The Person
​Excellent organisational and planning skills, combined with the confidence to present one-to-one with customers, as well as presenting to large groups are essential in this Development Chef role. We are looking for a candidate that can demonstrate:
• Professional Chef training and experience.
• Ability to deliver equipment demonstrations and training sessions.
• Knowledge of current food safety and hygiene legislation.
• Culinary flair, creativity and innovative thinking.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness.
• Understanding of ingredients and nutrition.
• Current knowledge of consumer trends and their effect of the Foodservice industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience of recipe development and testing.
• Able to travel nationally and stay away as required.
